FWACNA 5

Greetings Family!

FWACNA 5 will be held July 15 - 17, 2005 at the La Quinta Conference Center in Arlington, Texas, located on Hwy 360 just two blocks south of Six Flags Over Texas. The Program Committee needs your help!

WORKSHOP SPEAKERS: If you would be willing to share your experience, strength, and hope with others, we would love to get you signed up! If you know of someone who might be willing let us know that as well! All workshops will be held on Saturday, July 16, are 90 minutes in length, and will have at least two (2) speakers. With opening and closing the meeting, and splitting the time between the two speakers, you can figure about 20-25 minutes of sharing on the selected topic. We still have a few workshops left that need speakers. Clean time requirement is 3 years. Particular needs are Area or Regional Chairs of Outreach, PI, H&I, Literature, and Helpline for a Service Panel and Youth Speakers. Youth Speakers should be under age 25 and have started the program as a young person (like teens).

CHAIRPERSONS: We need several Workshop Chairpersons and Marathon Meeting Chairpersons. All this consists of is opening and closing the Workshop or Meeting with the Readings, just like a regular meeting at your Home Group. Clean time requirement is 1 year. If you would like to serve the fellowship, or know of someone who would be interested we would love to get you signed up!

CHECK IN PERSONNEL: This would consist of simply sitting in the lobby of the hotel, near the Convention Registration area, and welcoming and checking in Speakers and Chairpersons. This simply lets us know that particular Speaker or Chairperson arrived and is aware of when and where they are to speak or chair their meeting. There is no specific clean time requirement for this area of service. If you have an hour or two to spare on Friday or Saturday of the convention we would love to hear from you!
